Process
Roadmaps
For more than a decade,
“ICONIX Process” has been synonymous with our Use Case Driven Object Modeling
approach. During that time, we’ve been
privileged to be able to work with a diverse range of businesses (a few of
which you can read about in the “success stories” part of this newsletter) and
some of these engagements have led us to develop new roadmaps for specific
classes of problems.
For example, we ran across
some unique requirements for dealing with algorithmically-complex, GUI-less,
number crunching software on the LSST project, and adapted ICONIX Process to
that class of problem. Working with the
team at Virginia DMV caused us to develop a roadmap for business process
modeling. We’ve also developed a roadmap for Service Oriented Architecture development and one for embedded systems development using SysML.

Additional technology
developments that we’re factoring in to our roadmaps include the addition of
“Design Driven Testing” capability to the Sparx Agile/ICONIX add-in, natural
language English to UML Activity diagram capability from Ravenflow, and
acceptance test management using Enterprise Tester from Catch, Ltd.
So, while we still believe
that use cases are the glue that ties everything together, ICONIX now has a
wide range of process roadmaps that can be combined to suit a wide range of
development scenarios. Contact our VP Training,
