Health: monitoring apps and gadgets

Why analyze your health?

One of the keys to health and longevity is to be mindful of your body and watch for changes. For example, a steady and significant increase in heart rate and blood pressure can be a sign of a myriad of health conditions.

Abrupt weight gain can be due to lack of sleep, overeating, taking medications (hormones, hypotensive, antacid), thyroid, kidney or heart disorders, and loss can be from diabetes, parasites, tumors.

Connecting data sources is only possible in the full version of the app.
Gadgets to monitor your physiological condition

Devices and apps that help you measure, track, and transmit data about your physiological condition.

Heart and autonomic nervous system function

You can assess your heart and autonomic nervous system function by measuring your heart rate variability with heart rate monitors in the Welltory app.

The iHealth or Withings tonometers measure your blood pressure and heart rate and send the information to your phone.

How to connect the data in Welltory

Install your gadget app on your phone and in the settings allow data transfer to Welltory (for iPhone) or Google Fit (for Android).

Please note: Withings can be connected directly. Go to My Data, find the Withings icon, click Connect and enter your username/password.

AliveECG smart cases are suitable for quick ECG readings. You can also assess your heart and blood vessels with HeartBuds smart stethoscopes.
The iHealth PO3 wireless pulse oximeter quickly and safely measures blood oxygen saturation and heart rate.

Weight and body composition monitoring

Nokia smart scales are great for this – they measure weight, body fat percentage, heart rate, Fitbit Aria scales that measure muscle and body fat percentage.

Blood sugar control

The iHealth smart glucose meter connects to the audio jack of your smartphone. It also includes a special syringe for drawing blood and a jar with interchangeable cartridges for analysis. With the help of a special app, you can always find out the current blood sugar level.

Other measurements of conditions

  • Measure your temperature with Withings Termo, Kinsa, or Temp Traq smart patches that attach to your skin.
  • Map moles for melanoma control and prevention with the LoveMySkin app.

Gadgets to improve physical fitness

  • Posture improvement: UpRight or LumoLift – you can wear it all day and get an alert every time your spine is in the wrong position.
  • Menstrual pain relief: Livia – the device uses a pair of electrodes to target the nerves and block the discomfort.
  • Motion sickness relief: ReliefBand sends soft impulses through the wrist that affect the stomach and relieve motion sickness through the nerves and brain.
  • Snoring relief: NightShift, a collar-like device, will start vibrating every time you lie on your back for a long time – a major factor in snoring.
